Is this the Future for Mobile Carriers?

In an article on the Electranista website (link here: http://www.electronista.com/articles/09/11/16/simple.mobile.launches.in.us/ ). Today is the launch of a new wireless carrier Simple Mobile signaling the beginning of BYOP (Bring Your Own Phone). Got an unlocked phone? Frustrated with your current provider? Look up Simple Mobile and perhaps you will be the envy of all of your friends…
” The plans emphasize voice over data and start at $40 per month for unlimited US voice. Adding unlimited worldwide texting raises the rate to $45, while $50 brings just 20MB of data; $5 more doubles that to a still-small 40MB. ”
No information about coverage areas, call quality, customer service, company legitmacy… But, it does offer options few other carriers do…
Love to hear from areas (countries) where Simple Mobile has been around for a while.
For me, I line in a pretty blessed area where AT&T coverage provides all of the services my little iPhone wants ;0)
